'Marang Ngindhugir Nginh'. The Wiradjuri language and culture has been taught within our school for a number of years, extending now from K-6. The teaching of Wiradjuri language in our school promotes cultural awareness and understanding or linguistics and grammar. It also promotes self-esteem and strengthens identity and cultural pride for our indigenous students.
The success of teaching Wiradjuri language in our school is primarily due to the dedication of our Aboriginal Tutor and past student, Miss Kyah Turnbull who teaches Aboriginal language, culture and dance to our students.
Kyah also selects students from each class to receive Wiradjuri language awards at presentation night, for their effort and achievement in Wiradjuri.
