Our School Librarian is Mrs Leanda Earsman. Ms Kaye Henderson is our School Administration Officer who works and assists Mrs Earsman in the Library.
Library open times
The Library is open Monday to Friday for students to change books in the morning or at lunch time if they wish to borrow more than once a week. The Library is also open second half of lunch Monday to Friday for playing games, using construction equipment, quiet reading and research.
All students are asked to use a Library bag when borrowing and they may have books for two weeks.
The school participates in the Premier's Reading Challenge which runs from September until August the following year. Years K-2 students have 30 books to experience from a set list and Years 3-6 students have 20 books (15 if which are from a set list) they read themselves. The certificates are presented in early December.
Scholastic Bookclub
Eight times a year (twice a term) Bookclub sheets from Scholastic Bookclub will be given out to children for the purchasing of books.
To purchase books or software, complete the form on the back of the sheet and return with the correct money in a well-sealed envelope to the front office. Alternatively, electronic orders can be completed through the bookclub site online. Children place their at the front office.
Bookclub forms are handed out on Mondays and orders close on Wednesday the following week at 12.00 noon. It will take approximately one week for the orders to arrive after the closing date. If you do not wish your children to see the books ordered, please make a note on your order form along with a contact phone number. This is a service offered by the school to allow you to purchase books. There is no obligation to buy.
